ClubWUs Privacy Policy

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through ClubWUs and related services.

ClubWUs is intended for users 18 years of age or older.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

• username;
• email address;
• password information, which is stored as a cryptographic password hash rather than your plain-text password;
• display name or other profile information you provide;
• account privacy settings;
• information associated with your account.

Location Information

ClubWUs allows you to enter a location manually.
You may enter a general location such as:
"Denver, CO"

We recommend not entering your home address or another sensitive precise location unless you intentionally want to associate that location with your ClubWUs profile or content.

When you enter a location, ClubWUs uses mapping services, including Mapbox, to resolve the location and may store the latitude and longitude associated with the location you selected.

We may use location information to provide location-related features, including helping you discover nearby clubs, events, promotions, or other content.

Depending on the feature, location information may be associated with your profile or content and may be used to determine geographic relevance.

Photos and Other User Content

You may provide:

• profile photos;
• post photos;
• club images;
• comments;
• posts;
• events;
• club information;
• other User Content.

Uploaded images may be stored using third-party cloud storage services.

We generally retain User Content while it remains part of the Service.

When a post containing an image is deleted, the associated image files are removed from our cloud storage where technically applicable.

A deleted post may remain in our database in a de-associated or voided form for operational, security, integrity, or other legitimate purposes.

Device and Technical Information

We may collect technical information such as:

• mobile operating system;
• operating-system version;
• device model;
• application version;
• device/platform information;
• technical user-agent information;
• IP address;
• information necessary to provide notifications or operate the Service.

Push Notification Information

If you permit push notifications, we may collect and store a push notification token associated with your device.

We use this information to send notifications you have requested or that are necessary to provide ClubWUs functionality.

You can control notification permissions through your device settings.

Legal Agreement Information

When you accept ClubWUs legal documents, such as our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or Community Guidelines, we may record information necessary to demonstrate that acceptance, including:

• the document accepted;
• the document version;
• the associated account;
• the date/time of acceptance;
• technical information associated with the acceptance.

Reports, Blocks, and Moderation Information

If you report or block another user or content, we may retain information about the report or block, including information necessary to investigate, enforce our policies, protect users, and maintain platform integrity.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• create and maintain accounts;
• authenticate users;
• provide ClubWUs features;
• display and organize clubs, posts, events, and other content;
• provide location-based discovery;
• store and display photos and other content;
• send requested notifications;
• send account-related emails;
• verify email addresses;
• prevent fraud and abuse;
• enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines;
• investigate reports and safety concerns;
• maintain security;
• troubleshoot and improve the Service;
• measure aggregate engagement and performance;
• operate and improve promotional features;
• comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Use Location

Location information can be used to determine which clubs, events, promotions, or other content may be relevant to you.

Because users can manually choose the location they enter, ClubWUs does not necessarily know the user's physical location.

Users should select a general location when possible rather than providing a home address or other sensitive precise location.

5. Promotions and Aggregated Information

ClubWUs may provide promotional services for businesses, organizations, clubs, or other parties.

We may analyze aggregate engagement and audience characteristics, including geographic and category-based information.

For example, ClubWUs may provide a promoter with information such as:
"There are approximately 1,000 ClubWUs users in the Denver area interested in this category."

We do not intend to provide promoters with individual users' identities or individual-level viewing histories for promotional targeting through the Service.

We do not sell personal information as a business model.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party providers to operate ClubWUs.

Depending on the features you use, these providers may process information on our behalf.

These may include:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, cloud infrastructure, databases, object storage, networking, and related services.
• Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) — transactional email delivery.
• Mapbox — map and location services used to convert location input into geographic coordinates and provide mapping functionality.
• Expo — application infrastructure and push-notification services associated with the ClubWUs mobile application.
• Additional providers may be added as ClubWUs evolves.

We will update this policy as our actual service providers and practices change.

7. Analytics

ClubWUs currently does not operate a separate third-party behavioral analytics platform beyond the operational and service information described in this Privacy Policy.

If we introduce analytics, crash reporting, advertising technology, or other services that materially change how personal information is collected or shared, we will update this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy disclosures.

8. How We Share Information

We may share information:

• with service providers that help operate ClubWUs;
• when necessary to provide a feature you request;
• to investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, or violations of our policies;
• when required by law, legal process, or governmental request;
• to protect the rights, safety, and property of ClubWUs, our users, or others;
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.

We do not intend to sell users' personal information to data brokers.

9. Public and User-Visible Information

Information you choose to publish through ClubWUs may be visible to other users of the Service.

Depending on your settings and the feature involved, this may include:

• username;
• profile information;
• club information;
• posts;
• photographs;
• comments;
• events;
• other User Content;
• information associated with published content.

You should not publish sensitive personal information that you do not want other ClubWUs users to see.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No security system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• provide the Service;
• maintain accounts and User Content;
• provide requested features;
• comply with legal obligations;
• resolve disputes;
• enforce our agreements;
• investigate abuse, fraud, and security incidents;
• protect the Service and its users.

Retention periods vary depending on the type and purpose of the information.

12. Account Deletion

You may initiate account deletion through the ClubWUs mobile application.

If you are the primary manager of a club, you cannot delete your account until you promote another eligible club member to primary manager. This helps ensure that clubs are not left without a primary manager.

When an account is deleted, we intend to permanently delete the personal information associated with that account, subject to information we are legally permitted or required to retain.

Our account deletion process may retain limited information needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or operational records.

User Content may be handled differently from account information. For example, posts or comments may remain in the Service in a de-associated or "ghost" form after an account is deleted so that the integrity and context of conversations can be preserved, while personally identifying account information is removed.

Images associated with deleted posts are removed from our cloud object storage where applicable.

13. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to:

• access personal information;
• correct inaccurate information;
• request deletion;
• request information about how information is processed;
• object to or opt out of certain processing;
• appeal certain privacy decisions;
• exercise other rights provided by applicable law.

Colorado recognizes consumer opt-out rights concerning sale of personal data and targeted advertising, and recognizes Global Privacy Control as a universal opt-out mechanism under the Colorado Privacy Act framework.

Because ClubWUs currently does not intend to sell personal data or use personal information for third-party targeted advertising, counsel should determine which of those mechanisms and disclosures are nevertheless applicable to ClubWUs.

14. International Users

ClubWUs may process information in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.
